Actress Ruby Rose Calls Out Katy Perry As a Bully… and Then Takes It Back

Katy Perry dropped a new song last week called, “Swish Swish,” that is allegedly a diss track targeted at Taylor Swift. I guess it’s some kind of retaliation for Taylor’s “Bad Blood.”

Mmmmkay… a couple years later but whatever.

Jezebel reported that Katy has said that the meaning behind the song is an anti-bullying anthem meant to empower people not to take anyone’s bologna. Actress Ruby Rose took an issue with the song because she is so close to Taylor Swift and felt the need to defend her.

She Tweeted, “Not gonna lie Nicki is great on it and basically the only part that doesn’t sound a mess,” Rose wrote on Twitter of “Swish Swish.” “I just think with everything going on in the world to go from rebranding as political activist only to ditch it and go low… is.. a bummer. ‘Purposeful poop’ to ‘bomb a petit’ to a sloppy mess of writing over the top of Funkagenda..stop trying to make ‘Wit…I mean ‘fetch’ happen.”

Then she decided to backtrack a bit because she felt bad about it and said, “Being mean doesn’t suit me and leaves me feeling dirty. Truth is being mean leaves more leaks in your camp than the titanic and I get so triggered when I think bullies don’t get held accountable and it makes me think I should say something…but it’s not  place,” she wrote.

We assume she meant “[my] place.”
