Olympic Gold Medalist Laurie Hernandez Cries Over Late Grandmother On DWTS

Have you been watching ‘Dancing With The Stars’? Olympic gold medalist Laurie Hernandez from Old Bridge New Jersey may actually take home that Mirror Ball Trophy! Last night was a particularly emotional night for Laurie because they played an interview with Laurie’s grandmother before she danced. The emotional part is that her grandmother passed away the next day.

People reported that Laurie got to watch a beautiful message from her grandmother before she went on to dance the Fox Trot, which you can watch below.

“When you come back, you show [the Mirrorball Trophy] to me. ‘Look what I win!'”

“I’m very, very, very proud. Very, very proud of her.”

She was in tears but went on to give a beautiful performance winning her a perfect score! She has immunity and will go on to the finals.
