Donald Trump Inspires Will Smith Presidential Run

By E. Parker

If Kanye West decides to make good on his 2020 run for president, he may be facing off against Will Smith, who recently explained his desire to make a difference from the White House.

“There’s a contribution to the world inside of me that I can’t reach,”he recently told CBS’ Sunday Morning while promoting his new movie Concussion. “There’s a thing that I’m supposed to be doing. There’s a person that I want to be that I always saw the reflection in my grandmother’s eyes, you know, of what it is, but I can’t reach that thing. There’s so much more that I feel that I have to offer that I can’t access in myself,” he said.

When asked to explain further, Smith made a reference to the comments made by GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump, who has said the U.S. should ban Muslims from entering the country.

“If people keep saying all the crazy kind of stuff they’ve been saying on the news lately about walls and Muslims, they’re going to force me into the political arena.”

The political arena, is, of course, the White House.

“I mean, I gotta be the president, you know?” said Smith. “Come on! Keep it real. How you gonna ask me that? You know, what else would I run for?”

In November, during an appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, Smith confirmed that he and DJ Jazzy Jeff would be going on tour soon.

“Yeah, me and Jeff are going out,” he said. “We never actually had a chance to go out and do a full tour.”
