Cuban-American producer Emilio Estefan was truly offended by Donald Trump’s bigoted remarks about Mexican’s being rapists.
Estefan has rounded up a star-studded list of Latino musicians for the protest song “We’re All Mexican.” Estefan told Billboard the song was meant to be a “celebration of all Hispanics and our accomplishments.”
The video features guitar legend Carlos Santana, reggaeton singer Wisin, Spanish-American chef Jose Andres and Estefan’s wife and superstar Gloria Estefan. The uplifting clip also includes photos of Hispanics who have contributed to politics, culture and history.
Estefan, a 19-time Grammy winner, said, “There’s a message being sent out to the world where people are giving opinions that are plain wrong. We need to lift up our pride and show the world what we’re doing.”
