Congressman: Why Did Ariana Grande Get Off Easier Than Donald Trump?

In the mind of at least one Republican congressman, Ariana Grande has not been thoroughly reprimanded for her crimes.

South Carolina’s Jeff Duncan went on Facebook to trash the pop star, and declare a double standard in the media’s treatment of her compared to Donald Trump.

Grande was caught saying “I hate America” and licking a doughnut at a shop in California, and has apologized profusely. Meanwhile, Donald Trump made a statement earlier this year equating Mexican illegal immigrants to the United States to rapists.

“Just curious: where are the NBC’s, Univisions, ESPN’s, record labels, concert venues, etc in this Ariana Grande incident?” wrote Duncan on his Facebook page. “They were mighty quick to jump on the ‘bash Donald Trump’ bandwagon when he spoke about illegal aliens and “sanctuary city” policies.”
