From the looks of it, you could say that T.I. is giving Pitbull a run for his money when it comes to being the king of collaborations. Not only is T.I. featured on his latest protégé Iggy Azalea‘s song “Change Your Life,” but she is also featured on his latest single “No Mediocre.”

T.I. has collaborated with some legendary artists, including Rihanna, Kanye West, and M.I.A. T.I. explained to us that his collaboration with Iggy on his newest single was just as well thought out as his past collaborative hits.

“The way we work over here at Grand Hustle is, is we are a think tank operated company,” T.I. said. “So you know when we have opportunities or when it’s time to put together strategies and what not, you know, we kind of just put all of the opportunities, no matter how crazy or deranged, in a pot and we pull them out one by one in the think tank with our brain trusts and everybody just shoot their ideas out there.”

It was mainly T.I.’s idea to feature Iggy on his song, as he is very fond of her as an artist.

“She’s a visionary, she has an incredible awareness of her brain,” T.I. said.

T.I.’s single “No Mediocre” comes off of his upcoming album Paperwork: The Motion Picture. On this album, T.I. stated that there are collaborations with Young Jeezy and Watch the Duck. He also mentioned that Pharrell had a hand in producing some songs on the record and is featured on the album’s title song, “Paperwork.”

“We’re very proud of this album, I feel like this is, this is definitely the best work that we presented,” T.I. said.
